Work undertaken:

The works at Liverpool John Moores University were completed August 2021 and consists of a complete refurbishment of the John Foster building.

The project included window repairs, and internal decorations, and full refurbishment of John Foster rooms to provide a new post-graduate study facility, a social area and a Police Studies staff area. 

The refurbishment works will include the minor demolition of the existing cafe area and kitchen area, electrical upgrade works, decoration, and carpeting.  

Remodelling and refurbishment of staff welfare rooms to provide new welfare facilities were undertaken, as well as a general strip out, the installation of new doors, kitchenette and blinds, electrical upgrade works, and general decoration and flooring.

Modifications were made to the existing hot and cold water and waste pipework to accommodate the installation of the new systems with full boiler room upgrades. Old radiators were removed to allow for plasterwork to be re-installed by the builders, and new tanking and radiators were installed in the main building as well as the Staff Welfare Area.

 

New hot, cold and waste pipework to the new kitchenette area. The feeds were taken locally from the disabled WC next door. Built in filtered water systems and state of the art window fans were installed.
