Description:

Installed gas fired boilers, hot water cylinders, air conditioning units, heat recovery units, extract ventilation, all sanitary ware and a full kitchen fitout.

Full electrical fitout including a full rewiring with new lighting and power. CCTV, data, fire and lightning protection.

Refurbished all the cast iron radiators with brackets made in France.   

Full BMS allowed remote access for heating and hot water. Remote programming enabled full centralised control.

Challenges:

Built in 1828, this stunning classic mansion is grade II listed. There were problems with the roof for the builder, which meant that we had to remove rotten roof trusses.

We also had to dig down into the basement, but could not excavate far enough. This resulted in having to redesign drawings and create a new co-oordinates M&E delivery programme whilst still catching up on the programme to stay on schedule.

The pipework design in the basement was too low with limited head space. This required a full redesign to fit it into a more compact space (40%), whilst still creating the same level of required efficiency.

The project was an extensive and complex one, and each challenge had a knock-on impact on the next. Forward planning was required to assess the impact of each step on the next piece of work.

There were early design clashes from the designs assigned to us at the outset, which we created  difficulty in delivery as they required full re-design.
